First impressions are lasting ones! Cultivating a positive, confident character matters.
A person has only 7 seconds from the time they meet another person to establish their “first impression”. Character education, social and dining etiquette were traditionally taught at home for many centuries. However, times have drastically changed!
The amount of time parents spend instructing and teaching their children life skills has diminished. Children up to 8 spend an average of 2 hours 19 minutes a day on a screen media; ages 8 – 12 spend an average of 4 hours 36 minutes per day; and ages 12 and up spend an average of 4 hours 30 minutes on screen media per day and 6 hours with all media.
Cultivating Character is a uniquely designed class to teach students how to make that positive “first impression” and help them learn an array of life skills to confidently present themselves in a variety of diverse settings.
